Stargazing: Hitotsu Dake - Tanizawa Tomofumi

If you've read some of my older posts, you'll know that Kimi ni Todoke is one of my favourite series of all time. It's a beautifully orchestrated 2-season series cemented around a lovely romance and even stronger friendships. It never fails to make me smile, and a great asset to this show was Tanizawa Tomofumi's opening theme.

Years later, I ended up checking out more of Tanizawa's works. In my own personal experience, I didn't find too many songs that jumped out at me, but 'Hitotsu Dake' is definitely one that has stuck with me. Translating to "Only One", its slower tempo and slightly sad chorus puts me right back in the same mood as listening to that incredible Kimi ni Todoke opening again.

I have a good feeling many of you will enjoy today's song, but the ultimate gift I can give to you is the recommendation to give Kimi ni Todoke a try this holiday season. One of its pivotal arcs takes place during the snowy season, and it really gets you in the right mood. Every time I see its name on Crunchyroll, I just want to lose myself in its magic again. I hope you'll eventually see it the same way as I do.
