Stargazing: For You ~ Tsuki no Hikari ga Furisosogu Terrace - ENA☆
Just before sharing today's song with you all, I just wanted to quickly mention that I experienced my very first earthquake late last night! It was luckily very minor and short, but it was an eye-opening experience that reminded me that things like this can happen out of nowhere. It's essential to keep that simple fact in mind, with the chance that anything could take place at any time.
But enough about that. I wanted to continue the exposure to the wonderful music of Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso with an insert song from the series. Placed in a pivotal turning point for the show, it encapsulated all of the raw emotion that burst out in one single confession, and it left a really strong impression on me.
There's a heavy focus on classical music in the show, but I have to give this song extra credit for incorporating my personal favourite, 'Claire de Lune' by Claude Debussy. After opening with the famous intro to the classical memoir, it launches into a much more modern sound, incorporating rhythm guitar and percussion into the mix. The genius is that it doesn't add too much into it, and it keeps the true magic of the 'Claire de Lune' alive. ENA provides the beautiful vocals to this shining example of how a song can sample a song in a graceful way. Really makes me want to dust up the old piano once more, but for now, I'm happy just having this song on hand.
